General Electric 2010 Annual Report iPad App

To help stakeholders understand the strengths GE, we created an app that leverages their marketing content. It uses interactive charts and graphics to illustrate how the world’s largest industrial and financial services company is driving growth around the world and helping solve tough social problems. We also profiled key leaders to champion the people within the organization who are defining the future of GE.

The Challenge

GE wanted shareholders to engage with Annual Report content that they might perceive as boring or only relevant to those in the financial sector. They asked us to showcase GE as a forward thinking company, build on their “Imagination at Work” tag line, and bring their content to life in the digital space.

My Role

Experience Strategy: I adapted GE’s Annual Report for ScrollMotion’s proprietary digital platform. I needed to transform the report’s depth of information into consumable content for individuals outside of the financial sector.

Design Execution: I ensured that the product reflected GE’s goal of pivoting into a forward-thinking company, and that their “Imagination at Work” tag line was at the core of all designs.

Leadership: I lead the design team and worked closely with the development team to produce the app. I also worked with a third party animation studio to bring the report’s infographics to life.
